Not sure I understand this hire- his record was not very impressive at jp2 but I don't understand going 0-10 and moving up either

MONDAY, DEC. 15 -- Jerry Joslin has resigned at Pope John Paull II to take the job as head football coach at Goodpasture. He will be leaving JPII at Christmas.

JPII has promoted offensive coordinator Justin Geisinger to be its head football coach, effective January 1, 2015.

Real exciting pick uh Eddie? This might last a couple of years at best. A very very mediocre hire. Eddie nobody worth their salt would apply with RP around. We will return for another coaching hire in 2016 or 17 at best. This name will attract nobody and certainly the Cougar Nation is not real excited about. I would much rather seen them take a chance of an assistant that go this direction. Sad day Eddie.

Fan, he is an excellent hire. He has won everywhere he has been except JPII. He will do a fine job at Goodpasture

your awesome DP but 58% winning percentage is not an impressive resume. Not one ring as a HC in 35 years. Weak hire. We can talk later this week DP.

If Goodpasture wanted to hire a good football coach why not go after Ricky Bowers (Ensworth) or Brothers (Nashville Christian)?  Are they not both Church of Christ which would fit with the mission of Goodpasture?
