swanson71
being a local, do you think thicwas a good move for MC?If it were me doing the hiring I would look for a young coach who is going to stay there for a long time. I'm a believer in having stability in the coaching position because you can't build a program when you constantly switch coaches, I think MC's football program is a good example of that. Coach White doesn't have too many more years left to coach, but he is a good coach who'll get more opportunities at Lafayette than what he got at RBS. I believe if he was someone unknown to the area it wouldn't be wise to bring someone like him in, but since he's well known in Macon County I think it was a good move because everyone knows exactly how he's going to coach. His assistant is just graduating from Cumberland University so it could be a possible coaching position for her whenever he does hang it up for good. He's been at it for a long time so I hope he has success in Lafayette.

Seems like a good fit to me.

jimbo44
It would be hard to eliminate Upperman as the preseason pick. Cannon Co, Central Mag. Macon Co Smith Co and York Institute have new coaches. LA and Central Mag. took a hard hit with graduation.
