It's all the excitement built up inside of us! Thursday nite we will see if the MEN show up to win the battle or if the BOYS come out to play!!!!! If the BULLDOGS come out fired up and play to the ability that we all know they're capable of they could DISMANTLE the landers quick and early. If they come out and lay down, wait til the 2nd qrt to show up then the landers may very well embarrass the dogs, I see the DOGS taken care of business and proving they're still the TOP DOGS in MEC! GET EM DOGS!!!!!!

Hope this is a good game. The dogs gotta be the favorite in this one and if they play their best or even pretty good it will be  tough for the landers to get a win. I think this game will be decided by which line plays better. If the lander team that played Johnson County shows up it might be a good game. Havent heard anything about our practices but did see the dogs even working on some stuff Sunday so Im sure they will be ready. Hope for a good injury free game as both teams got the playoffs ahead and I think sometimes both teams let down alot after this game.

Winning or losing the line of scrimmage is huge.

Pujo, you hear anything about jones today? I know he had a dr appt. I'm sure he's out for lander game which limits what we can do, but I think ford will be more than capable. I know there's a few more studs in the stable.

Its not nearly as bad as what they 1st thought. He's rehabbing hard and should be back fairly soon. I doubt he can play this week but I wouldn't bet my last dollar on it. As far as Ford goes, they've been working hard ,worked Saturday and Sunday throwing the ball. He's looking pretty doggone good. Another thing is ,he's a threat to take off with the ole pumpkin at any moment. We'll just give it our best and see what happens. I don't expect this to be nearly as easy as some are thinking, but with enough heart and pride, its doable.

Tootie & Pujo, He went right to work, doing what he can to hopefully to return...It could have been much worse...He's thankful for everyone's calls & prayers...Now to this game, I sure couldn't feel comfortable about facing Ford, LJ and now McClain...Not to mention Ty and Smith and a line that's playing STRONG right now!

It's a great life lesson for the whole bunch...Would be nice to have J Russell healthy and step in at QB, but sometimes ya just gotta step up...I think this bunch will do just that

Leaving injury free after Thursday nite is key for both teams, at this point in the season it stinks to lose any player regardless of the position. I'm hoping THE DOGS step up and carry the load in hopes of one BIG DOG gettin to play again before the seasons over. Sure will miss seeing him slice, dice and juke em outta their cleats like the time before! Then again that jock straps hard to carry lol, come on THURSDAY NITE GET HERE ALREADY!!!!

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
