Titanfan01
They had to forfeit a bunch of games. Not sure why. I think I read they played a kid in his 5th year of high school.
SweetScience
I think I read they played a kid in his 5th year of high school.Well that'll do it. What's wrong with playing 25 yr olds? Whatever it takes bro. Lol jk
bounder
You'd think everybody would like to play 5th year seniors. It's a shame when something like this happens but somebody needs to keep up with how old kids are and how many years these students have been in school, even transfers have to provide school records when they transfer. Someone dropped the ball.
osunut2
I think I read they played a kid in his 5th year of high school. Yup. Kid was enrolled at Houston HS in 2010, so he's got no eligibility left. Team had to forfeit every game he played in, which dropped their record (at the time) from 17-0 to 2-15, including that impressive win over Oak Hill Academy. CU06
Hamilton still has not lost a game they didn't have to forfeit. They beat White Station by 12 last night to move to the semis in district and qualify for the regions.

I love that we're #1 right now, but in reality Hamilton or Southwind should be #1. that's just me being an honest fan. Bearden has no business being ranked ahead of Southwind after losing at home handily to Maryville. How do you move down only 1 spot after being beaten at home to an unranked team albeit a very good one in Maryville? Seems like some pollsters are probably Bearden graduates. They shouldn't even be in the top 5.
ORWildcat1
Did anyone else watch the news last night on WB20 at 10:00? They had a special on Oak Ridge's basketball team. The sports announcer called Oak Ridge the "Oak Ridge Owls" it was pretty funny. But he finally got the name right, it was still funny though. Three questions: When does Oak Ridge play again? Because Oak Ridge won the district 3 championship in the regular season does that guarantee us a spot in the regions? Is the regional tournament going to be played in Oak Ridge this year? Thanks and go Wildcats!

Thanks and go Wildcats! We play Sat night @ 730. No. I believe you have to get in the district finals to be granted a spot in the regions. We should host the region game if we win out I would suppose, but I may be wrong.

Higher seeded team, based on district tourney finish, will host each region game.

SweetScience
I believe I was thinking of the sub-state. Both teams that make it to the region finals make sub-state. That's where my thinking was.
