Yeah a loss to Tucker this year is legit. They can get it. Speaking of fans, They make all the difference in the world.

They are 23-2 in Georgia. With the competition they play that is saying something. We played with them for the majority of the game and were up at one point in the game until Auburn signee Bryce Brown took over. He is something. They beat us 65-49

It reminded me of the days in the old OR gym in some of our old battles with Clinton me and Dragon Tale was talking about earlier in this thread. About the same size gym and hotter than a you know what. Awesome atmosphere. We brought just about as many fans as the home team.

A lot of schools represented in the crowd. I saw a lot of people from Maryville, Alcoa, and I saw some of the Knox Central team there.

Congrats Trey Torres MVP!I just can't figure the Cougars out.Beat AC have a chance to be in 2nd place then go on a 7 game losing streak. Then turn around and beat Powell. They lose to Halls in OT but even after losing Gillenwater they had a chance to win this game. They have the MVP, 2 1000pt club members and one night you think man this team is pretty good then lose 7 in a row.Hard to figure them out but if the good Cougar team shows up they could be a tough out in the tournament.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
