Davidson county is larger than all of those counties Gwave so it would make sense to have someone represented.

Hold on a minute....it is not just a county but an area. Nashville always represents the area because the schools hold more votes than the other Represented schools. It has nothing to do with county size!! Let's get someone from a nonmetro school on the BOC and see how they like it then!!

So you don't want to play metro and don't want them to have a voice either. How many schools does metro have compared to Sumner or Wilson or whatever.

Your right I detest playing the metros!! Let's turn this around, so you don't want the other area schools to have a voice? When was the last time someone outside of metro in same area was on the board? Taxation without representation ever heard of it?

Pretty sure there are six football playing high schools in Sumner Co. Hendersonville, Beech, Gallatin, Station Camp, White House, and Westmoreland. Not sure if JP 2 is in Davidson or Sumner.

Six in Wilson Co. Mt. Juliet, Wilson Central, Lebanon, Friendship, Watertown and MJCS

12-13 between the two counties.

Metro alone has 13.  Antioch, Cane Ridge, Glencliff, Overton, McGavock, Hillwood, Hillsboro, Hunters Lane, East Nashville, Pearl Cohn, Stratford, Maplewood, Whites Creek

This does not include all the non-football playing magnets and charter schools that play other sports. Nor does it include the privates in the same area like I did with Sumner and Wilson.

Gwave I have no problem with it as long as metro was included but you already said you hate metro so why would we think our voice would be represented. Metro has more schools so in this area they are the majority. Either way it don't matter because each person and the tssaa don't care what anyone else thinks. This was proven today.

Gwave I'm not knocking you or any county the fact is it really don't matter because whomever was the rep would voice his opinion and not listen to anyone else. That's all I'm saying.

Well you need not worry about me. I do not qualify for the position. I am neither an administrator nor coach. I just know a lot of people. However, I do feel metro needs to be represented even though I detest playing those schools for other reasons.

So I ask again. When has anybody other than a metro guy been this areas rep on the BOC?

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
