I heard Beech did dominate. Understand yall had a bunch of kids out. I believe Beech was pretty much full strength. Heard the Bucs had their way both running and throwing. As a Beech fan I'm pleasantly surprised. Always good to measure up against HC even if you are playing their jv.

Beech's ground game should be one of the best in the state regardless of class this year. Crabtree knows how to pound the rock and since he took over has changed the way Beech plays and is perceived.

Henry County, Milan, and Westview all are in it I believe.

HC and Milan have been the two mainstays. Can't remember if they've been in it every year, but Westview and Dresden have been frequent participants. I think South Gibson and Obion County made their first appearances last year. The last couple of years we've had a couple of Kentucky schools involved. McCracken County (Paducah) last year and Murray High the last two years I believe.

I'd like to see Union City join in on the fun, but I think they usually go to the one in Huntingdon.

We did have a bunch out this spring, but still an impressive showing by the Bucs. HC still has a way to go.

The game is almost a year away but I can't wait to go back to Paris. It reminds me a lot of Gallatin back in the 80's. Huge crowd support and great fans. Gallatin should be pretty good and I know they will have quite a game in Henry Co. Two places that in my opinion that love the game and have a fantastic atmosphere are Henry Co and Trousdale Co. Very glad the schedule worked out this go around.

I looooooooooooooooooooove going to Paris for a game.  The atmosphere is second to none.  Tail gating and rabid knowledgeable fans (Drewphus, OldDevil, MSURacer, Swarm and the Prez).  Jumbo tron and college level band.  The games have a carnival feel to them.  The Jackets haven't had  good luck there in recent history.  We have played the Pats better when they come to our house.  Wouldn't mine seeing this one myself

Thanks for the kind words.

You may notice a few changes in the venue since your last visit.  I'll enumerate the major changes.

1  It's indoors and the roof spins every time we score

2  The facility is stored underground and rises to ground level 1 hour before kickoff

3  The field tilts 2.5 degrees uphill to whichever end zone we are protecting

4  Turf is hybrid bentgrass and all opponents are required to wear canvas Converse shoes, the kind with the star on the ankle.  We will provide rentals for any player unable to bring their own

5  The home side bleachers withdraw back into the ground in case of inclement weather

6  New lounge for officials has 3 restaurants, automatic tellers, and an IMAX screen with certain movies available

7  Free train horns for all season ticket holders (may not be taken from the premises)

8  The above mentioned footwear can be purchased at the following link for those wishing to plan ahead:  http://www.ebay.com/bhp/converse-tennis-shoes

9  Toilet facilities available for certain games

I'm good for color commentary only and have no business on that list of knowledgables.

Hey Facts..... Long time no troll. I remember a conversation we had 3 years ago when Peabody hired Joe Gaddis. You made the comment that Peabody would win 3 of the next 5 from Milan. Well since then we have won 2 of 3 and if we win this year your "prediction" will not come true. Thoughts three years later??

I have 2 thoughts (the most in a long time)

1  I have no recollection of such a comment but am flattered it left such an impression

3  The referees won the 2012 game, not Milan

4  Had Gaddis stayed, I'd say Peabody takes 4 of 5

5  Silly of me to think he'd stay 5 years

2  And my second thought . . . I wish I had your memory

We had a very back and forth heated conversation, that's why I remembered it.

But I have two thoughts as well....

1. You said the refs won 2012, but the scoreboard and the record books say otherwise. (Fact)

2. Had Gaddis stayed we would have won 5 of 5. Gaddis was a good coach. Woods was better (Fact)

But watch, now that I have said all this trenton will end up winning the next 2 and you will be right. lol!!!

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
