I know you do all you can to get participation in off season workouts up there. I don't know all of the dynamics of your family, but I know you are part of that coaching family up there. It's a shame that any parent, regardless of school, would turn their head and not support their child in anything that the child shows interest in. I HATE soccer, but if one of my kids started playing the game and liked it, I'd probably be seen around town in a Manchester United T Shirt. Support your kids. We only have them for a short time!

Good Post!

Watched Jefferson County play in 7 on 7 at Maryville College. #11 is 6'4" and is a stud. Had 2 INT's and 2 TD's in the game I watched. He will be a force to be reckoned with at WR and DB. #33 is a stud RB and a very aggressive corner on D. Those are the 2 to watch for on 8/21 Ram Fans.

2015 GCA RAMS SCHEDULE

@ Jefferson County

CAK

Oliver Springs

Campbell County

Rockwood

@ Webb

Wartburg

@ Sweetwater

@ Tellico Plains

@ Austin-East

I see this schedule as possibly 10-0 or possibly up to 5-5. CAK will be much stonger, as will AE. CC and Webb should be down from last year, but they were both very very good last year, so down may not mean out. And who knows with JC? A 6A team with numbers and tradition, you just never can tell how that is gonna play out. But overall I predict that GCA will be 8-2 or 7-3, with losses to CAK and Webb, and possibly a third in either AE or CC. Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.

That is a tough schedule indeed. GCA has their work cut out for them for sure but they have a lot of kids back from a good team last year that will help. The Jefferson County game surprised me even though they were 2-8 last year the size difference could be a factor there but like the old story goes the bigger they are the harder they fall so that game will be very interesting how it plays out.

Just remember Barney these Ram beat the 3A state champs(who also beat a great Alcoa team)a few yrs back and are always within a win!Jeff county hasnt been real good in a while and it takes a real good team in most Classes to beat the Christians.I also think tbis is a strong Ram team that will possibly make Cookeville this yr.

Well I'm keeping an eye out for a Maryville kid that has went there this year due to a job transfer with one of the parents that may be a big surprise for GCA if he is eligible. I know the kid personally and he will be a great fit for GCA and hope him all the best.

Well pride hasnt let us in on this one Huh pujo?LOL!

Sly little devil Orngnblk. but its really nothing uncommon for a private school. New qb and then this cat ,its untelling who all else has joined . Its not a knock against any of those teams but that.s the very stuff that the TSSAA should be looking at when determining a level playing field.

Thats why they are my preseason pick to make the finals every year, until someone beats them consistantly.

    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
    • during the 2nd round of the playoffs last year against Milan, Gray partially tore his meniscus. He had a minor repair around Thanksgiving. Recovery time was minimal and he has been full force for baseball this season.
    • What do ya’ll think the O/U will be? I would set the line at 2.5
    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
