I honestly haven't heard anything other than they have talked to several.  I'm sure now with school being out for most everybody things will start happening quickly.

I just wanted to share another good story of a student athlete.

 

Gallatin's Brett Neelly won his third consecutive state championship in track & field in discus and placed second for the second consecutive year in shot put. Brett is a 6'7" 255lbs Kansas State Signee who played several seasons of football and basketball at Gallatin and recently graduated as the Salutatorian of the senior class. This year, he broke a 28-year-old state record in the discus with a throw a 189-1 which he unofficially broke two more times. He finished top 10 in the nation in discus and top 15 in the nation and shot put.

 

His major competition this year was his brother, 6'5" 230lbs Gallatin Junior Adam Neelly, who will return his senior year as a top contender for state in both discus and shot put and is at the top of his class academically as well.

 

Congratulations to both for total dominance in the classroom and athletically.

Any news on the assistant coaching search?

Anthony King has been promoted to DC. Sounds like a great choice and players seem excited. I hear there is two more positions available as the QB Coach Haberman and wife are moving to Mississippi. Coach Wilson is just going to be head baseball only.

This is great news!! I was talking to some former players and they all thought that this would be a great idea. I do too!! His special teams have been very successful as well as innovative. I look forward to seeing his version of the defense. Currently there are two teaching positions open. PE and a special education position. They have to be certified on one of these and PE should be easy to fill.
