Good to hear from you @38320. Looks like everyone else is offline so I will answer you. I can guess The McREBS will still be bringing a lot of folks as they usually have good support. And Comer will still have a solid running game, and a couple of speedsters sprinting down both sidelines for a long pass just to keep you honest, and it will still take four full quarters and a big lunch pail to beat them.

a lot of what he says is true. only part that is assumption is the tuition part. but we all know that if a top area athlete comes in the door to play at a private school, the head of the school and coach ARE going to find a way to get him or her in to participate. money will not be an issue. it's not being said but true how many student athletes at no fault of their own have financial advantages too. rather it's by their family sending them to the best camps growing up etc or by the private school itself having the best facilities that money can offer. it's a big advantage to a very rural high school with little funds that can't offer these types of advantages. but that's not a knock on the private schools at all. but in fairness they should compete against each other in post season play. the only big issue I see is travel for parents in the playoffs. I guess that's a sacrifice for sending their kid to a private school.

What is this coach belly aching about?  McKenzie is a an open zone school which gives him the same area to pull students from that privates do.  The writer and the coach got it wrong.  This article makes the coach and writer look bad for not telling or reporting the truth.

Mc Rebel Coach just said in public what a vast majority of public school coaches say in private. Is momentum finally gaining for the split, with strong football schools like Trousdale and Lewis Co. speaking up, and long-tenured coaches like Comer going public in rural West Tennessee's biggest newspaper? Interesting article from East Tennessee as well, discussing the 80% winning rate of private schools in that area.
