If they refused to come up here because of weather that's not here yet does that not count as a forfit granted I don't want anyone taking chances and getting hurt this is just a game after all I'm just wondering how the tssaa will perceive this

I'm sure player safety is the main concern....But weather looks fine till much later tonight...I say move on to semi finals anyways

I thought all region 1 games were cancelled but I heard NG was heading to Hancock??? Top of that mountain in Sneedville is the last place I'd want to have a bus full of kids..slide of that mountain or worse you could get stuck up there with em.....uhhhhhhgggh!!

That may be the worst place in the bunch to travel. Thats a HECK of a mountain.

that's crazy! There's no way I'd play a game at hancock tonight, if I was a parent I'd say no.

They went and pulled out a 2 point win...HC was playing well late in the season kinda surprising they lost at home but not really they weren't super talented just big and was playing really hard lately.

ahh well that makes more sense. Just turned on the news and they said north greene and Hancock were playing they didn't say it was already final. Thought they were playing this evening. Edited by creekerballer

Better watch out for UH, i think they are better than NG, If they are hitting shots and they can at times, they could be dangerous.

UH is an off and on team. When their shots are falling, they're a handful. When they're not, they're pretty easy pickings. I am a little surprised at North Greene winning at Hancock, not an easy place to play. I'm just bummed that Northview put off the game at Hampton. The snow isn't supposed to come until late, and they could have had the game and be almost home by now. Oh well.

Yea I've heard they can shoot it pretty good at times. Defense is typically our strong suit so hopefully we can make it hard on their shooters. If we can get a crazy crowd going makes it harder for those shots to fall with the rims a shaking too. If we ever get to play it should be fun.

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
