I guess that's the answer for some. What would you tell the girls. What would you say to your principal who was obviously disgusted.

Guys...it is life. TSSAA spoke....if you don't want to sue you move on. That is my final answer on this. I'm now on to next season.

i can assure you...they trust their coach. Riverdale doesnt view themselves as underdogs against any team including Blackman this year. You talk like Riverdale has never played a big time program and this is their first rodeo. Go look at this years schedule as well as past years. They have played many big time programs and don't back away. They seek out the best teams in the US year end and year out. One of the most storied programs in the country and an easy team to hate on. They might take a different path but they don't back down.

Funny how warriorfan has disappeared.

I disagree with 'Warriorfan's' position on this subject, but he has every right to his opinion. He has earned my respect for 'sticking to and defending his position' throughout this discussion. I think it's admirable for anyone to stay with something they  truly believe in, even if everyone else is opposed. My hat's off to you 'Warriorfan' even though we have differing opinions on this subject!

I agree he has a right to his opinion. I'm just trying to figure out how any adult could explain this whole situation to kids.

Coach Barrett issued a statement on twitter. He is meeting with his team. I am just a parent who loves the program. I continue to be proud of the girls and I still consider Coach Barrett and staff some of the best folks around. It is life and life has disappointments.

Sanctions handed down that fast with no ability to defend oneself by the coaches. No hearing by a disciplinary panel. No showing of a rule broken that can be proven. Kangaroo court. As a BA alum....my school would have sued back in the day.

Justice served! The integrity of the game was violated and even you would have to admit that.

Thank you RabbitRanch. Quite frankly, as a players parent I love the school, administration and coaches for how they love my kid. I consider the group as a whole part of our family .  I believe if you don't stick up for your beliefs....even when unpopular....you don't have much substance. I appreciate that you respect my viewpoint even if you don't agree. I respect your opinion ad well. I also respect every persons opinion who came on here even if I don't agree.

Everyone deserves a fair hearing. I believe that whether I agree with someone or not. If a school doesn't want to fight the decision, they move on. Edited February 23, 2015 by WarriorFan

You tell them that you made a terrible decision and that you are sorry that they have to assist in paying for your mistake and lapse of judgement.  Its a tough but valuable lesson for them all.
