AllRegion
Actually Maryville's Rebels script may not be original because I remember seeing a picture of an Old Soddy Daisy logo that looked exactly the same. It was the word "Trojans" in the exact same style that Maryville's Rebels is written in. That Soddy font was different. Maryville's was designed by Pokey's...it is 100% original

Butler High School's Longtime Logo A few years ago Ole Miss threatened to sue Huntsville Alabama's City School system over Butler's logo. The logo has been Butler's since it opened in 1954 (perhaps someone had seen Ole Miss's logo? The two parties reached an agreement..... http://www.butlerhigh.org/ Edited April 7, 2015 by davidlimbaugh

MtnCanon
A few years ago Penn State went after Ridgeland High in north GA. The Panthers had to change their mascot logo.
Red Rebels
Could this be a problem? I hope they did their due diligence. Science Hill made a $25,000 mistake with the first Hilltopper logo in the Kermit Dome (Steve Spurrier Field).

WillieTheWildcats
This is an interesting topic. Does anybody see any problems with Oak Ridge's helmet's " OR " Now, I believe college and pro teams have the legal right to protect their material' HOWEVER, get real and leave high schools alone. A lot of high schools barely keep their financial heads above water. Pro teams are filthy rich. A lot pf their income comes from purchases of merch made by high school fans. To a lesser degree the colleges also make money off of high school fans. The bottom line is college and pro teams will try and make as much as they can and high schools are just going to have to be more creative. My stick up the butt is high schools who copy fight songs. Oak Ridge's was written back in the 1940s when the school was born.
