I've watched both programs in years past. And I'm a Tennessee guy but unfortunately Oakland is gonna find out Alabama high school football is a whole other animal. Maryville is the only team we have that can compete with a team like Hoover. Hoover wins 42-14

That game wasn't as close as the score indicated. Hoover really controlled all aspects of that game from start to finish.

Maybe but that remains to be seen. The new coach came from Trousdale Co. a pretty traditional program in itself! We'll have to see! Good luck Patriots!

Trousdale County certainly has a ton more tradition overall than Oakland. All of those state titles don't lie. TC is one of the most storied programs in the entire state of Tennessee. You can't truthfully say that about Oakland. It just isn't there.

New coach from Trousdale might want to go back. His offense is ATROCIOUS. Jacoby Stevens only touched the ball 3-4 times, no handoffs. Running 4 straight times to open up a drive down 24-0. Just really poor coaching.

 

Edit: Will say the defense was good enough to keep them in it early. Hoover was rattled early on.
