Are we raising soft kids?

Kids today wouldn't of made it growing up in the seventies! ...and its our fault! This is crazy to me to make people write apologizes for a sign saying the last place team was "the worse"... Was it tacky? Maybe... They'd be amazed at some of the signs we made back in the day though! Thin skinned society is s big part of our problem! Story:

Hey guys, I agree with the premise that our society is getting "softer" just like our generation was "softer" than our fathers' generation.

In the end, it's our job to do more than point it out. Make sure you are doing something other than complaining about. And, I'm not suggesting that you are not.

Preach it bro.     My dad did farm chores, then went to school, then practiced HS football, then walked home (3-4 miles because there was not car in the family), more chores then homework and bedtime.      I was softer than that growing up but still I worked on farming, mowing yards, either walked or rode a bike everywhere, played backyard tackle football year around without any pads.... but now my kids complain if someone doesn't like their latest FB post.

Parents, look in the mirror, we may just be part of the problem...     Oh one more thing, when I was growing up there was no such thing as this tee-ball everybody-is-a-winner junk either.

You didn't get your "participation" trophy? How on earth did you become a contributing member of society??
