The SP team that played tonight wasn't SP of the playoffs so far. Not the same team showed up. Bad game. 8-)

I disagree Mike. Our kids played just as hard and tough as they did the past two weeks. Compare scores all you want, but there is NO comparison between C.A. And our last two opponents. They were far superior than us this season. I don't know what you were seeing, but I saw them thoroughly whip us on the line of scrimmage. We played a turnover free game and they still scored 56 points. Everyone has been clamoring for weeks about how much better we have gotten. Yes, we did improve a lot, but facts are facts. The teams we have been killing the last month or two were not good football teams. We had a good season. The best team won last night. Turnovers didn't come in to play and C.A. Won by 4 TDs. Columbia Academy was 3-4 TDs better than us. No doubt about it.

I kinda take it like he is being a little sarcastic because everyone has said they played their worst game against them.I may be wrong but I can feel the sarcasm along with Mr Smiley!LOL!

I believe he said that joking because some from Fayetteville and Mount Pleasant said they played really bad games against us is why we won.

CA was definitely the better team tonight. Pirates played hard but just ran into a better team. #1 is a stud and was the difference maker last night when the Pirates had a chance to stop a couple of drives. Future is bright for the Pirates...can't wait until next year.

CA fans better get ready for some battles coming....Greenback won't lay down next week...and if you get past them it will probably be defending 2A champ Peabody waiting on you at Cookeville.

CA can do this...

If it works out they wind up playing NCS, I am quite sure they will beat NCS after seeing NCS tonight... Saying this over here so maybe it can slip by a little un-noticed rather in yall's thread. My meaning in #5 being "off" as I read you rebutted a little in another response, was in the over thrown passes, missed reads throwing into double and once triple coverages, missing the read of wide open in the end zone #8 on one roll out, and a few times cutting the wrong way (in into defenders instead of out and away) on his runs, and lastly throwing instead of taking the field in front of him and running it; just things,I haven't seen him do in the times I've got to see him play ... I hated that that powerful WC offense just didn't get going tonight. Like I said, NCS brought the pressure, credit for where it's due, but WC offense was better than tonight....

CA's offense will be to hard for NCS to stop as has been to all other contenders so far. CA's defense has really impressed me tonight stopping the speed of SP... Impressive. Very impressive.

Seen you tonight right in front of me working on the helmet on the sideline.(If that was you with the #70 hoodie)... I got myself crammed up in the middle top row bleacher and didn't want to make everyone move out of my way to get down and Outta there till the last couple of minutes of the game.

.

Anything can happen if Columbia makes it to the tittle game! But I can't imagine anyone from the east will come within 4 scores of NCS or Peabody. You never know though!

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
