thegreatone36
Don't contradict yourself... You tell us to not watch or talk about MJ football if we don't like it. Well then I could also say that if you don't like what's said on an adult CoachT board that is made to DISCUSS HS FOOTBALL, then DONT GET ON HERE! Gosh we get that you have a kid that plays ball, (@ WC) and sone of us on here may also know kids that play on certain teams. But quit acting soft about the touchy subject about talent. Like why act like MJ has the same amount of talent on the entire field as they did 3-4 years ago? They don't! It's the truth, whether you like it or not. We are all football fans here, discussing a sport we love. And many of us would be quick to congratulate the one guy going to play some college ball. It's something not many get to do.but don't forget that some of us on here may have went on to do that as well. MJ went to the second round this year. That's progress, leave it at that. MidTennFootball
Preach, people don't understand. So what would MJ have to do next year for you to label the season a success and be convinced TP has the program moving forward?
MJGOLDENBEARS
So what would MJ have to do next year for you to label the season a success and be convinced TP has the program moving forward? Good question im happy to answer. Honestly 7 wins or more during the regular season would be great. With so many returning players, atleast a quarterfinal appearance would be ideal. Anything less would be a failure and the AD would have to step in and take action. Edited November 19, 2015 by MJGOLDENBEARS

As for starters idk, I just know it's a lot. This years senior class had 13. Plus some of those 13 didn't play at all.

Tuffinitout
It's more than his lack of leadership abilities that effects the whole team it's his lack of mature character. It's about like yours. You speak from your heart and I acknowledge that but in my humble opinion I think that you know very little of the inner goings on at MJ. Prove yourself man, does your child and others that you have coached come to you after the game and say "what a jerk"! I like Trey, really like his dad but Trey has some growing to do. What is the solution then? Have you talked to the coach about your concerns? You seem to be in the parent support football club or whatever you call it for the school. A coach might listen if you brought some of this to their attention. Bashing him on here may not be the best route.

After 3 season ms in a row of average to below average football, I'd rather take an 8-2 9-1 season and lose in the second round rather than going 5-5 and making it to the quarters. Now of course it would be great to have both. Edited November 19, 2015 by MJGOLDENBEARS
bigchief
I would think a 7-3 regular season and 8-4 overall would be sufficient. Definitely realistic compared to a quarterfinal or semifinal expectation.
BKisler
If MJ had been in 5A this year; would they have made the payoffs and what would their record have been ? I honestly don't know since I live out of state and didn't see any games. If they did not make playoffs; would the season been considered a set back?
