I think they are as good as they want to be,real good at times and not so great at others. Greenback is the best they can be all the time. Hope thats good enough on Friday. GOOOOOOOOOOkEEEEEEEEEEES

We are only seeing how good this team is now that the playoffs started.  Starters only played half of most games.  That's how we know the underclassmen are ready to go next year.  A couple of the RBs mentioned on here gave the coach heart attacks every time they touched the ball.  He was ready to tell them to run out of bounds on half of their carries so it didn't look like we were running scores up.

Sounds like no pressure is on Greenback, lose no big deal you were picked to get drilled but if you win you shock the state. If NCS doesnt give gb qb any time in the pocket and keep him from scrambling for first downs it will be ugly like everybody is predicting. What ive seen is that Greenback is a physical hard hitting team with a few playmakers but not sure if it will hold up to the NCS D1 prospects. Its even rare for Alcoa or Maryville to be sending out D1 players. Congrats to both teams dont take it lightly its a huge deal! Would love to go to Blount County Jamboree next year and see 3 defending state champs.

I'd be real shocked if our top guys aren't going both ways.  This GB team is in this game for a reason.  And it sounds like their staff had a great game plan for CA.  I'm expecting the same on Friday.

 

However, if this happens to get out of hand, I'm calling Coach Brothers to see if he'll let my son that graduated last year suit up and take a shot at a 50-yarder

You make wise cracks but the guy everyone says would be mr. football if they fed him the ball ran it less than 4 times a game. That being #12. Bituli averaged less than 1 carry per game. Make of it what you will.

Yes having a big send off around 4 or 5 O'Clock. Should be a lot of fun for some youngsters!I remember signs on all then bridges when we came back the Interstate in 87,and the police escort from the Interstate to GB.The whole community was in the gym waiting on us.These kids are in for a treat and they deserve it!

It wasn't a wise crack at all. I've always just wondered why the lack of carries for these talented kids. Seems like you just use um when you REALLY need to.
