Don't forget that Rector is the only wilco coach to beat BA. Did it in the '08 thriller by going for two with seconds left and won 22-21. Incredible atmosphere that night. Came close to beating them in earlier years along with other close II-AA games like MBA a few times. So we know he can compete with the privates.

With the way the coach's hands are tied as to getting ball players, why would you want it except for the money and that's not the kind of coach you would want.

You have your head in the sand sir! The type of kids Ryan needs don't want to make grades, wear a tie, come to school regularly and most of all stay out of trouble. Cause one mess up and you're out of Ryan. Plus there's a bunch of money involved, tuition,  that some parents don't have and Father Ryan won't give them.

I've said it a few times and I'll say it again, if Coach Lussier had of had the ballplayers in his time at FR they would've been a very good team, but he didn't. He proved how good of a coach he is when he was at OR, when he had good players. Bear Bryant once said, "I'm only as good as the players I have surrounding me". Truer words have never been spoken. A great coach is mediocre with average talent.

Navy breaks that rule in my opinion. If you establish a separate identity you can be successful. If it is all about talent why have coaches at all. I think it is important to master something schematically that forces other coaches to make adjustments, something that is difficult to get your scout team to run etc.

An awful lot of people think this is such a great opportunity but you don't see anyone beating their brains out running over there to apply for the job, Hmmmmmm. Must be a reason.

I don't know how many have applied. I bet they have received plenty of resumes. I know its not taking this long due to not having enough candidates. I would wager it is the opposite. I just wish I knew who they were
