He has certainly applied for every d2 job that has come open over the past 20 years after leading the charge for the split following his loss to BA in '95.

1- he never beat MBA 2- he was out recruited horribly. Lost paying Catholics to MBA, BA, Ensworth and CPA. 3- when he had talent he couldn't win the big one   Ryan deserves a coach with Ryan ties

Bounder I don't know if that was a compliment, or you being snarky. If it was a compliment thank you, if not I am a Head football coach...so...yeah..I've picked up a few things

Well you do seem to know what you are talking about, and maybe trying a little humor. Sorry if I offended. Bruce is a friend so I know a little about Father Ryan football even though I live in another part of the state.

And this is why he couldn't win there. Trust me, Bruce is a very good coach, but if you don't have the players it doesn't matter how good of a coach you are. I know how good he is. He coached OR to a 60-14 record in his tenure here, and took us to the semi's twice, so I know he's a good coach.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
