This situation may end the rubberstamp hardship.approvals.

I'm sure there are a lot of ramifications that will end up happening to the school for years to come. I would imagine most will be based off perception rather than reality. I just pray for the young man and thatthe school and community can move forward and somehow grow from this experience.

Therealtruth there are no more problems. But you can see why the haters are saying this because they win except in basketball of all things. The hardships are approved by the school board. The recruiting thing is funny, the facilities are old. The school is old.

stench continues

I don't have a problem with someone switching schools to better themselves academically.  Makes me wonder how good the grades were of the boys charged with the crime.  Makes me wonder if a lot of the hardships just happen to be good athletes who could beef up the sports programs.

Mostly, though, I just hope and pray that the victims will be okay both physically and emotionally.

If the family has the means (mostly transportation) to have their children attend a better school they do. Howard and Brainerd are normally the lowest academic performing schools in the County. I don't blame them, who wouldn't do the same.

If you have dozens leave and many or most would be doing well in the classroom, of course grades and scores will be lower at their former schools.

Exactly what I have thought. Makes you wonder.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
