That's not difficult to do with the advantages that they have in their corner. It will be an even easier trip once CAK, CPA, ND, and Goodpasture are shipped off to D-II and Liberty Tech Magnet is playing 4A football once the JCM kids start to count toward their enrollment.

Just think! Alcoa should have been playing 1A/2A ball for years. At least they did man up and played up a classification. Which is certainly more than I can say for any other team in TN...

Then, Alcoa will probably be playing up a class in 4A. Which will cause teams like Liberty and others like you to whine about why Alcoa isn't playing 5A ball. You just can't make everyone happy....😂

Another fine example of Mayberry cheating the system by going after given championships rather than earning them. And they can't even win the given ones!! 😂😂

If we were in three classifications like it was in the seventies Alcoa would only have three at the least and five championships at the most and you wouldn't have all these arguments and one team that dominates over 65 or 70 schools all the time. I'm not taking anything from Alcoa because they would be right in the thick of it still but it meant a lot more in those days when a state champion was an accomplishment and not getting up and going through the motions for an easy trophy. Those trophies have cost Alcoa financially a fortune at the gate and if not for playing the county rivalries they wouldn't fill up the visitor side at the rest of their games. I'm not beating on Alcoa but the T$$AA for putting the whole thing in such a mess. It's boring to go watch a run away and that is why the stands are empty and the road trips are long and meaningless. Give me a break. If they did a multiplier rule and charged you all twenty students per football player that you steal out of the county for 1960's Brady Bunch Prices ($500.00) you would be playing in 5A and you know it. Alcoa is the biggest complained about school in the state for out of zoned kids crossing the line for peanuts.
