pioneer42
Noticed they lost to Oakland in the semis and they played their consolation and won, which will put them in the bracket with Blackmon I assume. Hadn't heard much on them this year. Any chance to knock Blackmon off?
WarriorFan
Gotta go thru Shelbyville first on Friday.... I still believe we will be in the Glass House come March.
Vandychris
Someone is going to have to deal with a very underrated Lawrence Co.
pioneer42
Looks like they have to make it past Blackmon in the second right if both wins 1st round?
wardawg2038
You are right pioneer42. If both win their first round games Riverdale/Blackman will play in a win or go home regional semifinal. A shame two teams as phenomenal as these both can't play in the glass house but it is the nature of the beast in basketball. And Vandychris I hear Lawrence Co. Is a pretty good team but they must get by an underrated Stewart's Creek team ( with wins over Blackman and Riverdale this year) and a very good Oakland team before they can think about knocking off the Blackman/Riverdale winner. Should be some great basketball in the regional tournament.
RealisticFan45
So after the scandal last year I thought the two schools was suspended from postseason? What came about of all that?
pioneer42
I think they are on probation, but it was a 1 year ban in the state which they served last year is what I was told.

riverdaleman
Great win by my LADY WARRIORS tonight. Now let's prepare and get the win Monday night
Vandychris
Sadly, until the TSSAA changes things, no team from District 8AAA will ever win in this region. Not only are the schools half the size, but those Rutherford Co schools don't even travel. It's pretty sickening that a team that goes 21-3 has no chance at state since they have to face recruited players and schools twice the size. Growth in Rutherford County keeps bringing larger schools and with that more money and more support. There are so many good athletes in Ruth Co now that recruiting isn't as bad as it used to be. It's happening in all sports not just basketball. 8AAA schools do not have the same size of schools, numbers of athletes, amount of money, support, or even facilities to keep up. Indian
4 classes might not help as much as it would have a few years ago, with a lot of new schools/charters in Class A the potential cutoff has changed. Maybe a 4 class with set cutoffs at around 400, 750, 1300.
