Volunteer High Football Out of the cellar?

Still makes me wonder if our offense is pretty good this year or if Cocke co defense is just that bad? Same thing can be said about our defense. When a team scores 38 points on you win or lose still scares you going forward.

Yet again, north brings down all expectations. No excuse... Team just wasn't ready to play! That or volunteer is just that bad. I had high hopes for this team, now I don't expect anything more than 3-7. Major disappointment!

- Good news: You do not have to play the Big 3 anymore (Tenn High, DB and SH).

- Bad news: there is a new B3 (Greeneville, South, East)

- The rest of the schedule are winnable games

let's be honest....there's really only a "new best one" this season anyway...sure, east will be pretty good and make the playoffs, but South is horrible so far...i'll do you one better on this thread question....Here's the way i think the NEC shakes out

Seymour and East will be playing for 2nd place again, the rest of the conference is up in there air.

At Boone we have been through a few of those seasons and worse recently, so hang in there.   Ultimately its about the boys having fun and learning the lessons that sports teaches you

Anyone know what Volunteer's enrollment is this fall? Curious if they will stay in 4A next year with the reclassification or if they will get bumped to 5A.

Not sure. I would think they are borderline 5A.

I think you all will see Boone Crockett TN High Cherokee Volunteer... and someone.  That is a pretty good conference for each other.  Not so much competition wise outside of it, but getting rid of Greeneville and avoiding Elizabethon would help Volunteer's program.
