Metro spent money on the stadium a little while ago and didn't address field?  I didn't know that.  SHREWD

The field was fixed then. The problem is they do not have a practice field so they have to use it for practice and games. It is also used for soccer games for both the school and an adult league. You combine that with having a staff that knows nothing about field management and you get what is happening at East.  Costs money and sweat equity to have a nice field. They have neither. Previous coach spent all the money on TSSAA fines. SMH. Metro should have turfed it in the first place, but no way they could pay for the other 13 to be done the same way.

PC's field is hardly nice either. Backyard grass.

Didn't know all of that.  Metro should have ponied up for the turf....that is sad..especially if a kid gets hurt!

there have been multiple offers to turf the fields that have been recently refurbished, but the Metro AD has not allowed it to happen because it would be "unfair" to the schools who didn't have turf.

In other words, they can not afford to turf the others and everybody has to have the same thing or somebody is crying.

Other schools systems are the same. If one gets something the other do also.

Not so. Beech got new turf this year and it wasn’t paid for by the school system.

The following fields could have already been turfed as they were recently refurbished:

East Nashville, Glencliff, Maplewood, Overton, and Stratford.
