The biggest game of the year in the state until game 15 in Cookeville. This one should be interesting. Maryville is so explosive from several different spots on the field. 22 can pop one 60 yds at any time. The QB can beat you with his arms or his legs. 27 is one of the best LBs to ever play in blount county. Alcoa has a 3 headed monster at RB. Tough, physical OL. 11 is a deep threat. But I think the game will be decided by the the Defensive Lines. The team with the most dominant DL wins the game

I will say this. Maryville needs to start out better this game than they did vs Fulton and Jefferson County. If they get off to a bad start vs Alcoa it could prove to be costly. Maryville can't play sloppy and make mistakes like they did vs Fulton. Maryville dropped 3 potential TD's in the Fulton game. In the Jefferson County game the defense struggled some.

 

Maryville will have to play close to error free football to beat Alcoa. When there are plays to be made Maryville needs to make them.  Alcoa is loaded and will win 3A Title. 2 good quarterbacks. A big time D1 receiver and bunch of good tailbacks. Alcoa has an experienced OLine.  Defensively Alcoa is still dominating. Maryville is the only team on Alcoa's schedule that has a shot to beat Alcoa.
