ScottThePreacher
IMO Alcoa is better on defense this year than last season. Not quite as big, but better team speed. Maybe not any one individual talent, but as a team defense and offense are both better than last year.
fooseball95
Are you for Alcoa? Maryville runs the spread? Lol Spread? Hmmmmmm lmao
32hammer
Hammer last year I stayed at home and watched the game on live stream because I didn't feel like going to a game two hours early and set facing the sun elbow to elbow and having to jump up every two minutes to let some dumba^^ through to go to the concession stand to get a hot dog. They showed the play a half a dozen times on replay and even Ray Charles could have seen it. The biggest thing in question was that he took his time to call the penalty as the play developed downfield which I can clearly understand why Alcoa fans were mad. The guy that called the penalty went to school at Maryville and was one grade ahead of me but he has been calling for many years and I can tell you that I've heard more Maryville fans in the past think that he has given the other team over the years the benefit and not Maryville and I've heard people even call him a trader. I know him personally and his entire family and they are great people. Being an official is one job I wouldn't wish off on anyone and that's why there's not a long line of people that apply for the position. Just busting chops a little bit, Barney. lol. he did call it very late and the play happen to take what would have been the game winning score off the board ( if I remember correctly). I would never want to be a ref either. But if you make a call that late in the play and it changes the score of the game, so folks will question it. He wasn't the same guy that called the extra point "no good" against WB in '07 was he?

BarneySox2007
One of the biggest messes I can ever recall was the Maryville and William Blount game in 1999. WB got a dozen chances from inside the five yard line until they finally scored and the officials had to be escorted off the field it was so bad. Stars could fill you in on it better than me because he has a memory that's unbelievable.

LOL I wasn't under the goal post, but I was real close. It looked good from my angle. lol. some ugly conversations between fans after that game. Same its remembered for that call. One of the best HS football games I have ever seen. Can't wait for Stars to give us a play by play of the '99 game you mentioned.
