Playerscoach
Good clip RJ87. Grubby that would have been the BGA game your referring too. He said BA not BGA. BGA was down at that time. Big big difference between those two schools. Forrest wasnt a good program at that time is the point. This recent history of the 2nd round type run is new. ClassPrideTradition97
I know what he said. I'm 99.9% sure Forrest has never played BA. As far as BGA being down in the late 80's early 90's I pretty sure they one state in 92'. All irrelavant anyhow. CEJ can clarify as he was on the rocket team in that time frame. roverjay87
I thought he was maybe talking about the FRA game from around
CEJ1972
Forrest upset a good BGA around 92-93 in a first round playoff game. The next yr we played them again and the score was left up on the score board. We didn't win that one. The only yr I know of Forrest playing BA was around 1986 in what we thought was a scrimmage until we got there! The field was painted and a full squad of refs on the field. It wasn't pretty!! Forrest also made a second round playoff run in 88 after beating Collinwood in the first round. They lost to Moore Co. in the second. Playerscoach
If Forrest beats this Watertown team it is a clear signal Brent has this program poised to reach a playoff round its never seen. He's a good coach and loves that community by all accounts. If they don't win IMO there's still work to be done and Watertown now moves to that level. I wish Brent all the best and hope he does it but Watertown now has the facilities and players to take a big step. I still think they are too much for the Rockets though. Good luck to both teams. steelcityroller
Some information going into the game For Watertown Price has 1,490 yards and 20 touchdowns passing I don't have all the stats from 2 games but the 4 games I do have he is 56 of 87 (64%). Love has 861 yards and 12 touchdowns rushing Watertown has scored 41, 42, 44, 48, 54 and 56 points in their 6 games. They have outscored their opponents 285-88. The six teams they have played are a combined 16-18. For Forrest They have recorded 3 shutouts on defense. They have only allowed 33 points on defense. They have outscored their opponents 161-33. The 6 teams they have played are a combined 11-21.
steelcityroller
if eagleville was physical enough to have u guys down 7-0 at halftime Forrest will be a rude awakening. again if y'all were just so worried about forrest that u looked ahead, it's understood Moore County? The 1-5 team that lost 32-12 to Cascade that Forrest beat 7-0. Westmoreland? The 2-4 team that Forrest beat 13-12. So lets not act like Forrest has beat everybody 42-0.... Both teams have had a down game or two. If either one of them shows up and gives anything less than 100% they will be going home with a loss. Having seen them in preseason they were not impressive on either side of the ball and lacked some of the athletes they usually have.
