TC has always had a former player or former assistant as coach we went outside of that last time and it hurt us with Barker not understanding the tradition but I think he just didn't care that much about it I'm sure Dobbs record at JBSMS was great he was my coach the first year he came to TC but at same time all the JBSMS coach record was over 800 I'm sure the school winning percentage as a whole is close to 900 I'm sur coachClint has some great coaches that applied

I hear Scott Hughes from Monterey wants it pretty bad.

That would be a pretty good hire.

Interesting! I am glad you said this! He is a good Coach if he goes i know a few players that will leave!

I just talked to my son and he said they is a rumor of it going around up on the mountain! He is a very good coach! His first year was my sons freshman year and the year they went to Semi! If he leaves it will kill my son!  TC may even get a #14 with him lol! I hope he dont but you cannot blame the man for wanting the job! Per another source i heard he wanted the job last time but TC could not find a place for his Wife!

I garuntee you that Satterfield man needs to get snowballs and seven to be coaches. Snowballs said he would fill out Murphys survey and I garuntee you he would have those boys real strong for the games. You think im joking but im not.

we will be a lot better next year have basically every one coming back just had 6 seniors this year will have 11 next year both quarter backs running backs and receivers going to be 2 short in the line

I wouldn't think so since he is the assistant principal at the high school.

Clint Satterfiled is the Director of Schools at TC. His oldest son Wesley is the Off. Coordinator at Austin Peay. The youngest, Blake, coaches the Jr High at TC.

I am hoping he is him and 4 more coaches that coached the JR. high won 3 straight JR. high champion ships he's getting married so we will have to see my son played with him in high school and JR. high my son was a quarter back

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
