that's funny pegleg, I remember it the other way around.  But yeah, yours and ours were feisty that day.  It made me feel good that this group of Tigers aren't backing down from a challenge.  And make no mistake, it is a challenge.  But you know what they say, 'big players make big plays in big games".  Looking forward to Friday to see which team shows up.  I'll be putting my annual "orange colored glasses" post in the next few days so stay in touch.  Lol.

Varo let me ask you a question. Do you have a high lighter? I like to high light in my Murphy Fair book boys that could play in the SEC. Do you want to come over and read my book and drink some hot cocoa out of my thermos on Friday? We can even take a look at Murphys pole. You think im joking but im not.

Well I've got a really big highlighter.  I use it most all the time.  My wife really likes it when I use it too, but she doesn't like me to share it.  I've shown it to some other people though, but she didn't find out about it.  I'll be glad to show it to you, since you are a living legend in my Coach T eyes.  But don't tell Southtowner or Pirate Tom or the other guys because I don't want any in-fighting or jealousy b/w your fam.  I thought about showing it to The Ambassador, but still not sure if he would like it.  He probably has one, although he's been around so long, it's probably used up.  But I would show it to him 'cause he seems pretty stand up guy-ish.  Stand-up guys are okay in my book.  I'll be glad to bring my big highlighter, question is, do you hang around by the pirate ship, or do you hang around by the concession stand?  Or is there some secret room in the press box for you guys that will only let me in if I know the password?  "Roy sent me".

Last year I went to the concession stand at half time, looking at everybody standing by the fence, trying to figure who is who on Coach T to say hey.  It's not like you all wear "I'm a Coach T'er" t-shirts.  There were a lot of Pirates hanging out in the bathroom, but I don't like to strike up conversations with guys in the head.   "Hey, are you Pirate Tom?  Hey, are you Pirate Mike?  Hey, are you OP?"  That mess don't fly.  Our first year I went to the pirate ship and struck up a conversation with someone who turned out to be your school principal?  Seemed nice enough.  One year we didn't get to visit.  That sucked.

But yes, I will be glad to show you my big highlighter and you can show me your pole.  Let me know where and when.

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
