BCsportsfan
I'm curious how big the gap really is...I think the spread using Laz's numbers puts it at 10...in 2015 it was around a FG I think we're going to give you a better game than most are expecting...I also think that the physicality is very difficult to pick up on film...surviving the first quarter without digging our own grave that early is key Of course I want Liberty to win, but a loss to Alcoa in the state championship is not a program killer, I think it will have the opposite effect with the talent in Madison County, very similar to the flooding that came with our basketball program 10 years ago If Alcoa runs the same game plan as the,Elizabethton and Sequatchie game, I see Alcoa scoring 24-28 points and holding Liberty to 14 or less.....that's just my take? BenjaminMartin
Well I'm pulling real hard for Liberty but they better have a good game plan and excecute. Dyersburg was able to run the ball down their throat all night . Only punted once. Our problem was we could not stop them . I don't think Alcoa will have that problem. I am not! I am sour! We let that one get away! The announcement will be delayed once again it seems.

Wouldn't you rather say you saw an incredible game and fell to the eventual champion, as opposed to the runner up

I guess I hate Crusaders less than I hate someone with a Tornado for a mascot. ....I fill the need to go shower now...hope you are happy! At least we won't be facing several folks back off this team next year!

BCsportsfan
So you think Liberty is better than Squatch but not as good as Betsy? Liberty has more playmakers on Offense. More speed. A little less disciplined....more so on defense. LT Throws the ball more and have better receivers. Sequatchie defensively is better against the run. Slightly bigger on the line. Not as fast as Liberty to the edges. Sequatchie would be an easier team to pass on. Liberty has good DB's. Sequatchie would run the ball well on Liberty. You have to be disciplined to cover the misdirection in their wingt. LT run defense might be their weakest point? Liberty's speed would give Sequatchie issues. Liberty would be able to break some big runs. I'd say it would be a very good matchup...IMO? Similar to the resent CPA and Dyersburg games....it would probably go to the wire? Now Besty has a QB that is as good maybe slightly better Than LT QB...but a huge Offense line for him to operate behind. Elizabethton was a much better team overall than Sequatchie. I'll find a more about LT soon!
BreadTruck28
Question for the Liberty guys. Does your QB normally play D also? I didn't notice him in the game until I saw him running the interception back... I might have said something loudly like "that's the freaking quarterback!" 😜
