Hey, even the "Sweet One" is wrong ever now and then. I could've swore SI told me he was on the relay team yesterday, so I blame him LOL Sorry, SI haha. See, not everything is Gaddis' fault. But, if it isn't his fault it is BFSI's fault lolol Love you guys.

Yes, and even I am wrong (if you talk to my kids that is often).  Sorry for the misinfo SS!

I was there. They had to run the 100 into a nasty headwind so the times are slow. He also ran out of lane 8 which wouldn't be the best lane because he couldn't see the whole field. He looked even better in the 4x100 where it looked like the 3rd runner stumbled or ran out of gas just as he got to graham but graham flew on the straightaway. Honestly he looks more impressive than last year whether he's hurt or not. OR had a strong group of sprinters because they didn't run the same group for both sprint relays but were still very good. I think several of them are football players so that should bode well for them this fall.

I was there of course, Oak Ridge wins 4x100 if 3rd leg doesn't pull up. He seemed hurt or something. Graham basically had to slow down and wait for baton. But he made ground quickly. On 100 he didn't look to push out on start which makes sense if a hip area injury but once up and going he motored down. I was sitting with DB parent and he said Graham is one kid who's as fast on a field as he is on a track. Not many people can convert that speed. An OR parent said on both relays relays it was only 1 SR. And they all play football.

Rivalry Thursday will not carry any Oak Ridge games this season according to Mark Packer. He said he offered OR a game but Coach Mullins declined.

Oak Ridge is among several area schools that are opting not to host those games.  Some feel that the way that the broadcasts alter the normal flow of the game and game week is much too distracting.

In order to get Maryville on the air, Rivalry Thursday is going to Ooltewah in week 9.

    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
