Older members can remember the UT and Miami game in the sugar bowl.Based on UT's defense that year,I gave my uncle who is a huge Alabama fan.Miami and 7 points for twenty dollars. He through the money at me as I laughed at him. This matchup I really don't know what team will show up for DB or Alcoa.I really mean it when I think DB has enough talent to compete and win this game.I'm writing this as I see Rebelwoman has replied,I'll guess she goes with Alcoa by 14,now I'll post and look.

Batman, Alcoa shows up 99 times out 100.

Especially the defense.

The offense will not be able to pound the rock 4 qtrs against D-B's size.  A balanced attacked using speed to the edges will be needed to over come the size difference.

D-B's wins over Oak Ridge would look better if OR had not got hammer by Farragut 41-0, And the win over Sevier County???.....SC lost to Jeff Co. 3-6.  The Indian did play Greeneville well?

Defiantly an interesting matchup.

The talent is there but the rest will be answered in a few days.If not for how I seen them start against SH and Greeneville, you would think easy game for Alcoa, but I wouldn't start putting this one in the win column just yet.

I don't see an easy win at all. I "think" the Alcoa Defense can hold D-B to 21 points or less. I Just have no idea how well Alcoa can move the ball offensively..............Hope RW87 is right!:thumb:

SH and the Devils both put 35 on the Tribe.I just don't see you not being able to move the ball and put up points.I know the loss of that one player had to hurt but I still see you moving the ball. The million dollar question for me was DB's offense vs your defense. So I guess by what your saying, you should sleep well this week .Hey,win or lose ,either way it's not going to matter when the playoffs get here.I always pull for you guys to bring one back to east Tennessee.

Remember when Opie was asking for extra nickels for milk at school?
Barney eventually trailed him and saw how he was being extorted by a bigger kid.
Then Andy and Opie are fishing and Andy passes along a life lesson.

Well Clark sees this as a metaphor for the Alcoa game, and there is no way he is going to let Mayberry be embarrassed.

Kingsport.....  he meant Kingsport.      Come on, you know that's what he meant.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
