Ooltewah played tough start to finish,Maryville had more than Ooltewah did.Rebels QB had a good game and owls #13 Manning had a good game as well.Rebels top RB was out and owls had at least 4 out on defense,(which probably wouldnt have made a difference),if I heard pre game correctly.Anyway might end up running into each other again,if both around for 3rd rd of playoffs? Owls will probably not get past 2nd round on road, but who knows.

Had a feeling after watching the Owls play William Blount that this would be a good game when I saw the size of their line and the quickness of their backfield. No doubt had their running back not got injured the score would have been even closer. Couldn't ask for a better game to see. We have to work on defense for sure but we've seen two teams in a row now that have had two of the quickest running backs we'll see all year long.  Getting to old for these shootouts, not sure if my heart can take another one for a while.

Congratulations on the Win. Game ended up  about how I expected, although the halftime score was closer than I would have expected and the fact that the Owls scored into the 30's was more than I really thought they would.

If we both take of business the next two weeks.... Whooo boyyyyy.....

    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
