uknoit2
I understand the team is practicing today with interim coach...Cameras are there, so should be on local news. But, Sensabaugh has not arrived to pick up his personal items as was to happen today. I also hear Sensabaugh has sent his story to Trump, ESPN, NFL connections and others...DC may make national news soon

That would be beautiful, but he's told people close to him that he really is happy in retirement. He always said that he didn't want to coach into his 60s. He's in his mid-50s now and seems at peace with his decision to step down in interviews. The man has nothing left to prove and is set for life. Chip Kelly would be a good one, too. Outside of the NFL, where he gets the bigger college rosters and doesn't have to worry about running a QB who's getting paid more than every single person in the stadium combined, he'll be successful again. We'll probably hire someone no one has ever heard of from the AAC or MAC so we don't have to pay an SEC salary. That's been the last 2 coaches. Also heard he said on the news tonight he would advise anyone not to send their child to Crockett. The posts that got him so much media attention are still on there. He's not letting this go. The players don't want to throw away their season for him. They've shown their support, but now most of them will be getting back to work to prep for Tennessee High in 2 days, then they have 2 more and possibly playoffs left. All school employees must pass a background check, so I assume nothing there would have been bad enough to not hire. But we all know assuming does... Background checks really only send red flags if you're a convicted felon and GS is not. I know because a friend who taught in another county got stuck with a co-teacher who'd been fired for doing inappropriate things with kids, but since charges were dismissed her background check came back clean... though your could google her name and an article with her picture popped right up relating to the incident. They may have asked him about those arrests just to hear his side of the story, but it was never going to keep him out. Washington Co. wanted GS bad for publicity purposes (the director is obsessed with publicity) and never even seriously looked at other coaches. Boy, did they sure get their publicity... I was checking out the rankings on TSSAA. Right now we have a tie at Boone and Crockett, TN High, Then Cherokee., Mo East is in 5th. Volunteer and Cocke County are out of the hunt. I think the only way Crockett is out is if they lose all their games, Cherokee wins both their games, and then Mo East wins all their games. If anything in any of those scenarios doesn't happen, Crockett is in. Boone, TN High, and Crockett really need 1 to be rock solid, but all three of those teams are pretty solid to be in right now. I was about to disagree with you and then checked out region 2. Looks like a team from Region 1 5A actually could go to the 4th round this year. I don't think that has happened since..... South in 2010? Of course and then congrats, you get to play Knox Catholic or Knox Fulton in the 4th round. Man I'm glad you brought that up. If Boone wins out, finds a way to win 3 games in the playoffs, that would put them at 11-2 and put them as the best team in school history. Interesting. I don't think Boone has ever won a conference championship either.
