Ill start the in game commentary-

Waverly scores a 300 point TD as the earth opens up and swallows anything that even remotely smells of Marshall co. Forrest entire team melts on the sidelines and fans from Chapel Hill are forced to suit up and finish the game. Grandmas and Grandpas slip and fall right and left as Waverly piles up the points.

End of 1st Quarter-

Waverly:  316

Forrest:   -4

I have seen both Waverly and Forrest this year and I can tell you this that if Waverly doesn't turn over the ball it will be a 28 point victory for the Tigers. Forrest doesn't have the athleticism to hang with Waverly. If you look at the teams that have beaten Waverly under McConnell they have been super athletic and well coached.  Hope both teams have an injury free game.

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
