She has been injured some this season and the younger sister most likely has more total points on the season. The freshman sister is cat quick and can shoot it as well.

With three new starters and zero experience on the bench, Upperman is playing exactly the schedule they should.

I would hardly say Upperman’s bench has zero experience.  Upperman also played Blackmon and Beech early November on Saturday play days.  They beat both teams.  They are a young team loaded with talent.

Good first post, welcome to the board.  Out of the four non-starters, who saw significant time last year?

Four of the five freshmen played for Upperman middle which won the James C Haile tournament in Murfreesboro.  All of the freshmen have been playing up 2 grades in AAU since 7th grade.

McMinn Central had nothing for Cumberland county when they played them Nov 20th. They will play again on Feb 9th. Guess we will see if they have improved by then. Don't see either of those teams being any competition for Cumberland county or Upperman. Time will tell.

Exactly, Freshman=0 Experience.  Not saying they aren't talented (they are) or that they haven't played a lot of ball (they have).  Just none of it at the HS level with this particular Team.  Back to the original point of the discussion, which was scheduling.  Dana only dresses nine and the schedule has allowed everyone to get meaningful minutes.  The payoff to this will be if, at tournament time, everyone knows their role and executes.

These freshmen have been playing travel ball with this particular group for 2 years.  I guess we will just have to see.  Those freshmen had no trouble against Pearl  Cohn this summer, or Beech, and Blackman this past November.
