I thought Marion County would win a close game this time. Man I missed this one. The Ram Train must really be rolling. Rockwood better hope they give them a bunch of turnovers or they will get embarrassed at home. Tyner and Union City will meet in two weeks in Cookeville.

If that happens(and I say that with respect to Rockwood) it would be the 20th year rematch of the 1997 SCG between these two schools!!

I,ll be pulling for you guys but I,m afraid its an uphill battle. Either way you guys have defied the laws of football. Keep on keeping on.

I saw one of Rockwood's earlier games this year on the net.  Might have been the Harriman game.  Rockwood had a good looking running game but the Tyner bunch is a whole different animal.  Tyner should be in this spot a lot more often.

Agree, they have 6a talent every year.

They should be in this spot most seasons. The talent that they possess is unreal. Usually they have one of those games where they have 4-5 turnovers or 100 yards in penalties. So far they have been able to avoid that in the playoffs. They will beat Rockwood by 28 or more.

This is exactly why I wanted to see Rockwood play Tyner. I want to see where Rockwood matches up. I was curious on why Coach Webb doesn't schedule a team like Tyner. To see where we stand. They've been the underdog plenty of times, and I understand Tyner is by far the better team and no comparison to Meigs at all, but we will see.

I like your small town football. Tyner will give you a chance only if they have one of those games I have mentioned them usually having where they make a ton of mistakes. They have talent like a 4,5,or 6A team would have.

Mistakes or not, I'm hoping for a good game and not a blowout like others are talking about. To see a team like Rockwood, who hasn't made it to the state championship in an extremely long time, would be a nice story to tell. Obviously this will be the toughest game they'll play in an extremely long time too.

RTF19, believe me it's not the Ram fans that are predicting a blowout! We know better. Any team good enough to make it to the semis will be a challenge for any other team! At this stage of the game, any  opponent is capable to get to Cookeville. As I have said before my prayer is that all of the kids are as healthy at the end of the game (like they are at the beginning). I am positive that Coach Turner gives them a similar message!

Mistakes are made by both teams...keeping them at a minimum is the key to success!

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
