Cornersville shocked everyone in the state (except for the Cornersville faithful) with the “upset” of Huntingdon. The Bulldogs are playing at an extremely high level at the moment. Cornersville’s CoachT group has also hit their stride and are posting at a high level.

Should be an exciting week. I don’t know a ton about Lake County, so fill us in.

feels good to be undefeated in the playoffs AND undefeated on the internet.

Wonder if anyone predicted these two teams a few weeks ago for this semi-final game ?

I had LC playing Dresden in a rematch with the winner playing Huntingdon..lol   LC lost 2 games but could have won both.I thought they outplayed Dresden everywhere but the scoreboard.Win or lose was hoping for a rematch.TCA had a couple players out.Lake Co lost 2 players also.I thought Lake Co outplayed them in the first quarter,TCA owned the 2nd  and LC the 3rd and 4th.LC was inside the 5 and didnt score. But TC A did what they had to do.Kicker for them was  awesome.Just shot ourselves in the foot too many times. But were a young team

You would've beat Dresden as bad as Hillcrest if we made it. We just regressed all year. I think at this point LC can beat anyone in the state. Don't know anything about Cornersville but they beat Huntingdon so thy have to be a great team. I'm still going with the Falons by two scores.

cb10 I’m gonna start by saying y’all had best get us this year because the next 5+ years LC is the favorite outta the west! We are extremely young 3 seniors...a sophomore heavy team that has gotten better and better and now we are flat out playing great ball...no one in LC expected to be here this year...good Qb lil Tebow and the smallest rb in the state! We will run and throw...extremely hard to run on this group and our secondary has continued to improve...we will hit too! My main concern would be special teams but for the last 4-5 weeks special teams have been awesome! We have 30 kids dress?  Now how about Cornersville because we know absolutely nothing y’all other than you guys played world beaters last night? I’m taking Cornersville by 3 tds

All the so called experts are saying Cornersville will beat LC bad. LC is alot better than they are getting credit for. I would not be surprised if LC is in Cookeville the following week. This will be a war. I honestly thought LC was going to be the team to stun Huntingdon but Cornersville beat us to it. LC has a big line and are very physical and has speed to burn. Apparently so does Cornersville. This game has the ingredients to be a great game. LC might just shock everyone just the way Cornersville did last night.

    • during the 2nd round of the playoffs last year against Milan, Gray partially tore his meniscus. He had a minor repair around Thanksgiving. Recovery time was minimal and he has been full force for baseball this season.

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
