Three days of non competitive games

All but two or three. What's a solution?

-Drop to five classes and two classes in Division II?

-Add another week with champions playing each other. Division II-AAA champ vs 6A champ, etc. Basketball coaches already wanting players back wouldn't like this one.

-Bring all the privates back, start with Brentwood Academy etc in 6A. 

-Classify schools by long term success, or a mix of a success and enrollment.

-Z plan returns, if a less confusing plan could be worked out.

-Leave it as is.

9 is too many.  Everyone wanted the private schools out and with the exception of Knoxville Catholic they've got their wish.  Now we are looking at a very "watered down" product.

Brentwood Academy is my favorite semi pro team. Not sure it would be safe to play a team like that against the average public high school team.

There are more privates in D1 other than Knox Catholic.

They will never bring the privates back in. Too many bridges burned. 

5 publics and 2 private classifications would make the most sense but small privates will hate it as will public’s who will be put in a higher classification than they already are.

I agree that 9 is way too many. Pretty soon everybody will get a participation trophy. Teams are in the playoffs that should never be there. 

All privates should have separate playoffs!!

Amen ...this is a great topic...way too many classifications...5 public and 2 private is perfect. These past 3 days proved it...most games all blow outs

Nope. Got to completely split the public and privates come playoff time.  

4 public, 2 private divisions would be a doable number.  

But it will never happen.  Too much revenue would be lost.

All privates go their own way and maybe 4 or 5 Div. 1. Even with 6 Div. 1 classes it can be tough to get to the BIG game. I like the idea of having champions just for the players and the memories they will have.

If you can pick and choose who you want, why does enrollment even matter in the private schools?  If you give help no matter what kind it should not matter your school size.  What does matter is how much help you can give.  The schools who really use this to their advantage vs the privates that limit what they give.

True statements. If you've got 200 students Gr. 9-12 and 35 are assembled football players, what good is the 1.8 rule. Two Div. 2 classes and fly 'em from Fla. for all I care. Still foe a couple more public trophies than most of ya.

No Idea if this year was a fluke, but in my opinion there were some "upsets" in the west that contributed to a couple of the lopsided games. Huntingdon and Haywood County didn't make it to Cookeville (their own fault) but in my humble (no disrespect to Cornersville or Springfield) opinion were much better suited to play against the competition faced from the east. 

  I somewhat agree that the privates select their student body, so in effect a school consisting of a small number of students could compete with anyone if it were their intent. No idea how to eliminate an agenda if there is one in that case, unless TSSAA regulates "athletic scholarships" as colleges do.
