That is a fine view RR. Careful or there may be a big wall blocking that view com August. But I know a guy who is married to the second cousin of a city employee and he has a key. It will be enturstin seeing what this team looks like. I will guess FAST.

I'll be inside the comfortable confines of Shields Stadium in August. This is my scrimmage staging area.

PS: The name changed to Cedar Street Family Dentistry.

I know its only a scrimmage. I dont know how many kids for Bearden was out for the scrimmage playing other sports. I do know Maryville had several kids out.  Maryville dominated the scrimmage.  I thought Braden Carnes and Cade Chamers played well.  Cade may be a better runner. Braden is the better passer. I have a feeling you may see rotating quarterbacks. Offensive line looked good. Center did great job on his snaps. AJ Davis looked great . Devon Kimble looked good.  Ashton Maples made a great catch on a fade route. Brody Sloane looks good at TE.  The strength of the offense is at RB. An embarrasment of riches.  Tee Hodge is great. Will be the workhorse. Bryson Teffeteller was outstanding. The star of the scrimmage was Parker McGill. McGill is blazing fast. 3 long touchdown runs.

Defensively the DL was dominant. Even without Tyler Brooks and Luke Walker the DL was great. All those guys have gotten bigger and stronger. LB looked good even without leading tackler Seth Orren. Devon Kimble looked outstanding at safety.  Micheal Buchanon looked good at corner.

Hate I missed the scrimmage.  My eye issues have escalated, and I am not able to drive much at night right now.  Looking at a major eye surgery in a couple of weeks.

Looking forward to watching the video sometime later today.

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
