ballinup90
Levy, Lamb, and Upton. Here's why: (In my opinon) Levy (25.3 ppg) is the best player in AA without a question. The only person that I've seen, that can keep up with Levy & outplay her is Upton (19.8ppg) from East. Let's not forget that Upton was the AA TSSAA MVP over Upperman's Levy in 2016, but did not play last year due season ending knee injury. Lamb (19.0ppg) has the awards and all accolades for a Miss Basketball finalist, but all that was in Single A where the competition is very weak. She's still deserving and has the numbers to prove it in Class AA. We also need to take in consideration that all three potential finalist Levy, Lamb, and Upton have a TSSAA State MVP award and State Championship while playing on teams currently ranked in the AP Class AA Top 10. Just my personal opinion. Edited January 27, 2018 by ballinup90
Americal198
Taylor Lamb. Without question. If you were to ask her preference, she'd say one more title. I agree.
UTRok
I know Levy scored her 2000 point on 12/5 against Watertown. So she may end up close to 2500 when it's all said and done. I'm sure UHS will put up the rest of her stats soon.
Apache818
All of these stats are impressive. Here are my thoughts on who should be nominated. A- Tess Darby and Chloe Moore. Not sure of a third. AA- Gracee Dishman, Shutes and Akira Levy AAA Rhyne Howard, Brinae Alexander and Madison Hayes I have seen Hayes play last season and this season and she definitely deserves to be in the conversation for AAA Miss Basketball. Based on talent and stats she is producing she shouldn't be slept on. If I had a vote she would be in my top 3.

Against very good competition too, have yet to see anyone stop her getting to the rim. In my opinion she should be a finalist.

uconnfan
I seen Gracee Dishman play against Shutes beginning of season and she scored 44 points on her and her team. Cumberland County is 21-1 and she was out that lost and they have played 2nd hardest schedule in state according to coach T. She stays healthy she will go over 2000 points this season and shes just a junior. I seen her play against number 1 in the state clarkrange and was double teamed and boxed whole game and had 34 points and never got but two shots off from the outside. I thank miss basketball should go to the girl with the best stats that year and the best season as a team. This is the first year as a 2AA player unlike the rest of the candidates she was in 3AAA the last two years and averaged 24 a game last year and was player of the year in her district and played riverdale in substate game two years in a row and averaged 28 against them. Theres not even a boy in the state averaging 32 a game right now like shes doing and when has there been a girl average 32 likes shes doin right now and if she keeps doing it she will go over 3000 points in her career. I really think she should be nominated for miss basketball with these stats.

dmm88
In AA probably 6-7 real candidates: Gracee Dishman, Jr. Cumberland County Jamirah Shutes, Sr. Haywood Akira Levy, Sr. Upperman Kaia Upton, Sr. East Nashville Taylor Lamb, Sr. South Greene Quanardra Miller, Jr. Jackson Southside Deja Graves, Sr. Martin Westview (stats not great, just based on Westview's record, and best player on a top 3 team in AA) Edited January 29, 2018 by dmm88
