CA only played it's 1st team a few possessions during the 2nd half with Giles Co playing their 1st team throughout the 3Q against CA's JV to get the game's score back in their favor.  Final was either Giles Co. 42 or 41 to CA 35. 

also several of CA's starters didn't play due to nagging injurys.

I didn’t expect to win and was proud of Stown’s first half performance... just wish we coulda held onto the ball in the second half. It would’ve made for a better game to watch for all fans.

As to Summertown, you are correct. All private donations. And they are very young. Lots of freshmen and sophomores getting significant time.

 

For the region, it might be completely redone. It wouldn't shock me if Summertown and or Loretto could drop back to 1A.

Couldn't agree more. Game was over by the 7:00 mark in the 1st quarter. Not sure what the objective was in using 2 timeouts in the final 15 seconds to let the starters score on JV/Freshmen with the running clock to make it a 30 point final instead of 36. And the way they hung around expecting the officials to let them try the PAT or go for 2 after the clock had expired.

1 decent team, Forrest

1 slightly less than decent team, S'Town

And 2 duds, Loretto & Community

Probably just underestimating them. I think they went in with the mindset that Waverly would be the best team they’d have to play all season and that Union City would be an easy win
