Figured I’d go ahead and make a thread for this one, almost a week away. How does this game plan out? Will be a great atmosphere wish the pirates a great trip to Dunlap. Ain’t much changed from last year from Sequatchie besides losing the qb, still have the bruising full back in hicks. Hope it’s another hard fought game like the last 3 or 4 years we’ve played.  I know the pirates have a 90% chance according to the poll on coacht

I was thinking someone told me we had to move last year’s backup center Blevins to Guard and are using a new center.  MAybe that’s some of it.

I agree SP is more of a smash mouth style  with not the normal speedsters but they still have speed, don't be trying to down play it that much. But the threat of Sanders throwing the ball and running

That poll is crazy. I’m not sure our young team will be able to overcome a VERY good 3A football team. That game last year was back and forth with SP finding a way at the end. I would say the depth of Sequatchie will make it tough on the Pirates. Regardless of the outcome this game will help SP for the rest of the season. I hope we win, but I’ve got enough sense to know that your big FB isn’t something you see everyday at the 3A level, much less 1A. I believe it will be a good game though.

Go go to coacht home page and scroll down to football and it’ll say toughest picks and click on that page and it’ll take you to the picks for some of the football games. It’s down to 88% now

      Why? Low pay. Low budget thanks to the Rotary milking the programs revenue. Foul smell. There are other negative things... Positives: the players and being toward the top of the classification numbers wise.

      What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.

      Athletics is just a piece. It can help them academically, socially and add confidence. I was still 17 when I finished my first quarter at UT. I was the last to get my driver's license. It's not always just for athletics.
