Time to move Alcoa to 6A

I would think Alcoa fans would take this suggestion as a compliment. Also, if you can beat the #1 team in 6A, why waste your time and talent beating up teams 60-0. Take the challenge and prove yourselves every week against the best. I really don’t understand why Alcoa wants to stay in 3A.

You can't expect them to jump from 3A to 6A tho. Especially if their enrollment is 3A numbers.

I’d be OK with a program moving up a classification after winning a championship. Alcoa would be 6A by now under those rules. If you can beat the best, why not compete with the best all year? Why waste your time and talent with 3A teams that you can beat 60-0 (and that is by halftime). Seems boring to me as a fan of the game.

What's your thoughts about playing in 3a with 6a enrollment numbers?

That is a totally different situation. I wouldn’t expect anyone to be able to play down a classification, but if you dominate a classification, you should be moved up. You should also WANT to move up and not be forced to move up, but that is a different kettle of fish.....

If I'm not mistaken, Alcoa was 4-21 in the last 25 games against Maryville heading into the game tonight.  So just because Alcoa rarely beats Maryville, they now should be in 6A??
