Two schools? But PC has played up matter fact we have better success in 4A than 3A. Look if you have problem with MLK 6 players on our team, contact tssaa with your problem!!!

It may be 6 but what’s stopping it from being 30? Both enrollments should count. If it wasn’t the team you pulled for you’d agree! I understand why they get to play with PC but can’t understand why their enrollment doesn’t count.

Don't have a problem with the school, if you're mad, be mad at the rule! Many schools co-op kids who haven't the opportunity to play otherwise, and that's a good thing. PC wins with (probably without) those kids, so you have a problem with them, but not the other schools? Same as the Alcoa argument...don't single out someone who is successful, from the same system and rules as everyone else just because they do it better. Don't gripe because PC is good, if you don't think the co-op rules are fair, gripe about the rules and leave PC out of it.

What would it mean to you if TSSAA "moved" Alcoa up, and your team won a championship in their rightful classification? To me that would be a hollow victory, and your notion of "fair play" equates to the "everyone gets a participation trophy" mentality that has turned a generation of young people into entitled brats. Gordonsville won a championship in 1A a few years back with 22 seniors on the team, and returned only one or two starters (had a hard time competing with lower echelon teams the following year)...should they have been moved up too, and if not, what is the difference? I'm just not on board with bringing down the best to everyone else's level instead of endeavoring to elevate myself to their level in order to compete.

Exactly!!!

Thanks sweetheart!

4a is no competition for Alcoa. If Alcoa choose to move to 5A they would fix 4a again everyone that moved up will move back down. Then Maryville and Alcoa can win the state championship in 5A and 6A every year....lol

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
