Thought comments concerns!!? Just a open honest discussion!!If ya get in ya feelings easy "might not be the thread for you"!!!

I believe so.. the west is loaded with Peabody as the front runner. They have shown they are currently the best in the west. Union City, CA, and Waverly are also good teams, but I’m not sure any of them are on Peabody’s level. In the east you have Meigs County and Trousdale. I believe those are the top 6 teams and then there is a big gap.

LOL. I think they’ll be busy with Cascade at Homecoming. So I think you’ll only have Eagles to contend with. But it looks like Westy had a big win against CA this week. The Creekbank is a bit of double edge sword. TC always has the home field advantage but everyone sees playing there as a statement game, so TC always gets everyone’s best. Great tradition there. The end zone billboard says it all.

1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd of the opposing regions

Last year as example

 Region 2.                     Region 1

1. Meigs.                  1. Sullivan North

2. Rockwood.          2 Happy Valley

3. Oneida.                3 Hampton

4. Cumberland Gap 4. S. Greene

Not one of those teams should be within 28 points of you all,i am confident they wouldnt come that close to us if we were 2A.Cake walk to the semis!!!

With what I've seen and heard as of now, which is worth about two cents and can turn on a dime at any moment, my top 2 teams on each side of the bracket are as follows:

Peabody                         Meigs County

Columbia Academy     Tyner Academy

If you want to add 2 more to each side then add Waverly, Union City, Trousdale County and Watertown. If only 1 more then just Waverly and Trousdale.

Waverly people have the ability to plead their case willingly. I encourage it. One question... do you Waverly faithful think you can beat a Peabody or Columbia Academy team this year? I do think Waverly has the ability to compete in a shootout with anybody but it only takes one or 2 stops to win a game like that considering the other team just may take longer to score.

Who knows. It’s early in the season. Young players grow. Teams get better. Or teams have injuries. Or apparently teams have players quit...through out the season. Peabody I haven’t seen play but I hear about them and see their scores. Sounds like they are gonna be the team to beat. CA if they are as good or better than last year is going to be tough to beat.

Hopefully Waverlys defense continues to grow and get better. I was impressed with how they bowed up in the 2nd half against Fairview.

I do know that Waverly plays a tough non region schedule. And they have battled and fought to the end.

There is a possibility Waverly has 3 losses going into region play.

Non Region teams being

3A Camden

1A Huntingdon

3A Fairview

DIIA Davidson Academy

2A McKenzie

I honestly believe once we get through the non region gauntlet, Waverly will roll through region play and be better and stronger going into the playoffs.

Does Meigs play anybody tough in the regular season or do they have a cupcake schedule? Just curious because I’m a West guy and don’t know. I just see scores.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
