I heard on radio that Springfield plays Lexington?  they lost to Chester tonight

How does a 2-8 (1-4) Lexington get in when they lost tonight to Chester Co. 2-7 (1-4)? Same amount of total wins and chester wins the tie breaker in region.

The radio was wrong. Springfield plays Chester. The TSSAA website has the scenario breakdowns on there.

Lexington 2-8 is an eye opener. I had this team going 5-5, but 2-8 is not Lexington football. I don’t think they have the athletes as they did 2-3 years ago, but they have the players to win more than 2 games.

The team we played last year in the second round was a good team.  It is hard to believe that they fell to 2-8.  Must have lost a ton of players to injuries and/or graduation.  Maybe a coaching change?

I said a few years ago I won’t consider Lexington a legitimate threat if they continue to run that offense. 2-8 and not making the playoffs in a region that includes Chester County (a bad football team) and Liberty (a bad football team) is embarrassing. I guess not making the playoffs is evident that there needs to be a coaching change at Lexington. Now they’re one of two schools (so far) in West Tennessee that I expect a coaching change.
