Can happen to any of us though. It's hard not to sound over confident when you have a team like his. But sometimes your Mule gets out out muled.

Good point. Sometimes a loss or close game is just what a good team needs to put focus back in order. A good team will build from that game and rise to new level. Could be interesting next game for Peabody.

I'm an old Huntingdon fan and I've learned my lesson many times over the years. Take them one game at a time, hope for the best and don't expect nothing. What goes round comes round. Every dog  has his day. Just hope it ain't no Bulldog!

I don't think Peabody was over rated. Their as talented as anyone in 2a. Main problem was everybody talking how the Tide was 2 or 3 touchdowns better than the nearest competition. You keep hearing that crap and you lose your edge. Same thing happened to my Mustangs last season. Your lucky it happened to you in the regular season rather than the play-offs like it happened to Huntingdon.

I get whats he asking about Trenton?I'm reading that Trenton can still win it all.But Lake Co loses to Dresden who at the time had all their players and LC has no chance in Single A.I noticed that LC played 2 teams that Trenton has played.Trenton beat Humboldt 72-0 and must have scored some late or would have been a running clock.Lake Co scored 43 points on Humboldt in the 1st quarter.Could have scored 90.Went to 6 minute quarters in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Then the same Gibson Co team.LC wins in a battle and Trenton loses.LC scores 30 points and Trenton 10.Not saying LC would beat Trenton. But saying maybe a legit question.

I'd hate a loss for my team. But if it meant resentment enough not to overlook next team or be overconfident. I'd gladly trade it as a regular season loss as opposed to a playoff loss.

The only other team that I see playing up to Peabody level is TCA. Then its playoffs.

I'd hate to be next team to play them. Normally frustration is taken out on next team. Probably wont be pretty.
