I honestly think it comes down to the more discipline team. Emotions will be running high. It's the biggest game of the season/year. Whichever teams holds their composure and remains poise through tough situations will have the upper hand. Position/Skill wise I have this here:

Offense - Pearl

Defense - East

D Line/O Line - Tie

Special Teams - Pearl

Secondary - East

RB's - East

LB's - East

QB - Pearl

Coaching - Tie

I think and still believe East is going win this game!

I took a little while to really think this one through before I posted. PC has not beaten anyone this season that is as good as EN. EN has not beaten anyone as good as PC. Both teams know each other well and both have athletes across the board. I think both staffs are equal. I think PC has the advantage in mental edge. With that said, if EN can stay disciplined and take care of the ball they have a shot of winning a close game. EN has to take that first punch and keep fighting. Not sure they have been tested enough to do that though. Pulling for EN but I still think PC wins 35-26.

Both of these teams better hope their path to Cookeville don't come runnin' through Dunlap, TN, cause Squatch county would handle either one of them. Lots more competitive football played out here, and I'd have coach ready with a plan. Another thing we'd have you beat in is number of annoying fans. We have more sideline daddies who think they can coach sitting in our stands than anyone.

Pearl and East kinda remind me a lot of Colin Kaepernick the day before he decided to start taking a knee; Overrated, and about to have a lot of time on their hands.

Coaching tie?? Smh

RB- PC has 3 kids on 500 yards rushing and the senior Rb is just getting healthy and raised cane last week and you chose East RBs?

OL and DL tie??? Come on ballin but everybody had there option but wow... I think we lead the league in sacks the its held down but a UT commit DT....Offensively Or OL has giving up the fewest sacks of the region and rushing for almost 200 a game.

    • “facts” or better yet ‘opinions’ had been up for weeks/months. that’s not why the thread was deleted. get over yourself.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say the have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
    • Crazy how the thread just gets deleted when facts come out.
    • I understand I guess it depends on the school you are with and the time you want to put in.  It’s evident of the schools that don’t put in as much times.  I would say basketball players put in as much time as any sport in our school system and this is coming from a football town.  Bball is a longer season than other sports.
